Fulham and Hammersmith Choral Society

About Us

Welcome to the Fulham and Hammersmith Choral Society

We are a friendly choir based in West London. This includes Hammersmith and Fulham.

The choir was formed in 1951 and has grown into the ambitious 100-strong choir it is today. With no auditions, all skill levels are equally welcome.  We have a wide age range but the choir would suit younger people as we've appointed a new music director as Christopher Bracewell leaves us at the end of August 2011.  Christopher Wray joins us on 1 September and is enthusiastic and brings new ideas while maintaining our tradition of choral singing.

We give at least three public performances each year, at Easter, in the summer and at Christmas. We also support the local community by singing at various events and this includes raising funds for charities.  If you'd like be on our emailing list to receive advance notice of future events give us your details in a message on the Contact Us page with a request to be put on the mailing list.

Every year we sing away from London which combines singing to another community with a fun day out. Sometimes this is to Paris with a choir with whom we’ve established a relationship over the years.

We do other things for members’ enjoyment, such as a social evening combined with a rehearsal and a pub quiz. Also many members have a well earned drink after rehearsals at a nearby pub.
