Joining and Membership

We are a friendly choir of all ages and backgrounds and we always welcome new members.  A few more tenors will help to balance the choir.  We do not hold auditions, but we pride ourselves on the high quality of our concerts.  We have a new enthusiastic and inspiring music director who should appeal to younger people.  If you think you’d like to take part then just come along to a rehearsal and join in.  You don't have to make a commitment straight away. You can try us out for a couple of weeks free of charge and then decide if you wish to become a member.

It’s usually best to join at the beginning of a term so you get the benefit of all the rehearsals leading up to a concert. Look in Events Calendar for the start of the next term and the music we’ll be performing. However, we welcome new members at any time. You may like to tell us you’re coming so we can expect you, or if you wish to find out more – see Contact Us.

We meet for rehearsals every Wednesday evening during school term time, from 7.00pm to 9.30pm in the Olivier Centre at Lady Margaret School, Parson’s Green. See Find Us for more details.

Membership Fees

If you decide to join us you will need to pay the termly membership fee. Your contribution will go towards the choir’s expenses.

  • Members up to 60 - £45
  • Members over age 60 - £30
  • Members on benefits and students - £15

If you don’t have your own music you can borrow copies for your first rehearsal and you can hire music for the term, once you are a member.

Working Together

Like any organisation we need principles for the choir to work well and so members can get the best benefit. The Choir Hanbook tells you what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. To view the Handbook, click on the link below.
