The Fulham & Hammersmith Choral Society is an amateur choir based in West London.

FHCS was formed in 1951 and has grown into an ambitious 100-strong choir.  Membership is open to anyone with or without choral experience.  We aim for high standards, and of course strong singers are always valued – but you don’t have to be able to read music, and there are no auditions.  The age range of members stem from 20 to over 70 so there is room for everyone.  If you’re not sure which voice part you are then Christopher Wray, our Musical Director, can help you with this.

The Choir performs three public concerts each year, at Easter, in the Summer and at Christmas.  We also support the local communities by singing at various events and this includes raising funds for charities.

Each year we also sing away from London which combines singing to another community, or combining a performance with their choir, with a fun day out.  At times we take more extensive trips and you can see details on these events in our ‘News Items’ section of the website.

FHCS is also a very social Choir and apart from after rehearsal gatherings, we hold 2-3 social evenings each year, one of which is generally a pub quiz.  For many members the choir has become a major part of their social life and many friendships have been formed as a result.

If you would like to join us, or go on our emailing list to receive information about our events then please give us your details in a message on the Contact Us page of this website.
