ABOUT US

Welcome to the Fulham and Hammersmith Choral Society

We are a friendly choir based in West London.

The choir was formed in 1951 and has grown into the ambitious, 100-strong choir it is today. With no auditions, all skill levels are equally welcome.

The choir gives at least three public performances each year, at Easter, in the Summer and at Christmas, when we also sing carols
at a couple of underground stations to raise money for charity.

In the next five years we intend to perform, amongst others, the following major works:
Elgar's The Kingdom, Vaughan Williams' Sea Symphony, Bach's St. John's Passion, Mozart's Requiem, Handel's Messiah, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, Britten's St Nicholas, Bach's St, Matthew Passion, Poulenc's Gloria, Verdi's Requiem and Bach's Mass in B Minor.

However, it is not all hard work, we have socials every half term, an annual away day and the opportunity to go to the pub around the corner after rehearsals!
